I’ve been a big fan of Netflix since the days when it wasn’t even available in Canada. And it’s been great seeing the company evolve from a DVD delivery service into a pioneer of new technologies and delivery models. Lately, it’s also gotten into producing its own shows (House of Cards, Hemlock Grove). When I saw it sponsoring the audience award at Hot Docs this year, I thought how much I’d love to get the good people at Netflix involved with our series. Well, they have come through, in a big way.
At our July 18th screening, Netflix Canada will be giving away a brand-new Sony Playstation 3 along with a free 6-month subscription to its service. I’m delighted beyond words.
