First Films Announced for October 11

I’m very excited to let you know the first two films in our October 11th lineup! Riley Stearns’ THE CUB came to us through our submission process, which made me very happy indeed. The film has been submitted to a number of high-profile festivals, but it’s quite possible that we are going to have the World Premiere. This five-minute marvel grabbed me from the very first frame and I know our audience is going to love it.

Colin Levy’s incredibly polished student film THE SECRET NUMBER is one I discovered through some top-secret research. I knew immediately that our audience would appreciate its puzzling science-fiction premise, which is backed up with solid performances and some visual effects that are underplayed but highly effective. It’s not surprising that Colin was recently snapped up by Pixar after graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

More details to come on both films, as well as the rest of our program, soon. But if you like what you see, why not buy your tickets now? They’re just $8 in advance or $10 at the door. But you’ll want to have some money in your pocket since our new venue, the Carlton Cinemas, has a full concession stand with popcorn and lots more!
